Coping with loss

Loss can affect every part of our lives, whether it is the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a change in health, or another significant life event. Grief is a natural response to loss, but everyone's experience is different. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and there is no set timeline for healing.

You may experience a range of emotions, including sadness, anger, guilt, anxiety, or numbness. Grief doesn't follow a straight path and often comes in waves. Understanding this can help you make sense of your experience and recognise that your feelings are a normal response to loss.

Counselling provides a safe, supportive space to process your grief at your own pace. Together, we can help you understand your emotions, develop healthy ways of coping, and gradually find a way to move forward while honouring what has been lost.
